Wings over
Wilson (WOW) is proud to host MWSC 2007 May 18th - 20th at Wilson Lake
Kansas. Registration and Open flying will be on Thursday with
events planned beginning Friday morning and continuing Saturday and
Sunday as weather permits. There will be the traditional
prime-rib feast/awards banquet on Saturday night at the Lucas Legion
hall.
2007 will be the 14th annual MWSC contest. We are currently
updating the web-site and reviewing the events for 2007. We will
have this updated and 2007 rules finalized in January so you
can bring your newest creations.
The MWSC was hosted by the
Lincoln Area Soaring Society (LASS) for the first 11 years. Beginning in
2005 WOW has taken the torch. WOW is a loosely knit group of Lake
Wilson slopers interested in continuing the traditions of the MWSC.
Our tentative plan is to open registration in February and run
the same events in 2007 with little or no change to rules. One change we do plan
is to lower/change the registration fees for 2007.
For the 2007 event, our
intent is to run the event modestly with volunteers and close to
break-even. Mike has agreed to CD the event again this year.
